A friend, who I consider to be a very keen observer of the libertarian “movement” emails:
Ron Paul ‘awoke’ millions, but the “liberty movement” is at least half full of half-ass pseudo-libertarian statists. I see so many of them that have little good to say about RP now. He failed in their eyes. It’s all about attaining the crown. So frustrating.
If there’s one thing that Ron Paul stressed, it’s that we’re engaged in a battle of ideas. The goal is to convince/teach people the ideas of liberty.
An event will be held this evening at 7:00 PM CST in Chaska to discuss Gun Violence and Gun Control policy. It’s vital that we guard our second amendment rights by participating in the conversation. We encourage anyone who can to attend this evening.
With the advent of BPOU convention season it is in the best interest of the Liberty movement to network, communicate to and activate BPOU delegates. This could mean identifying already known delegates or including non-liberty delegates into the conversation via conversation or outreach. This is a real opportunity to elect Liberty Leadership at the BPOU level in the form of good conservative individuals who have long been in the game and newer Liberty lovers energized by the Ron Paul Revolution. One thing should be clear to all those who are thinking a change is required in order to bring more individual Liberty, reduced government size, increased transparancy and sound money. That it helps immensely to turn out at your electing conventions and either run for leadership spots or ensure quality political leaders are put into place to move the message forward.
Additionally, there are two Liberty candidates who are running to turn around the Minnesota GOP and are running for State Chair and Deputy Chair – Bill Paulsen and Corey Sax. I encourage you to visit their websites and take a look. The party message will change and financial structure will be improved with them winning the respective positions that they are running for. Newly elected State Central delegates who are chosen at the BPOU conventions will ultimitely decide if they get elected.
I hope to see all Carver County Liberty activists at Victoria Elementary School on 2/16!
